Nueva Vida
Nueva Vida English was founded nine years ago when a Mother desperately
looking for a program to help her son get off drugs and alcohol attended a Nueva
Vida retreat in Spanish. During the final hours of the retreat God spoke to her heart
and ask her to start the English version of the movement. She contacted her parish
Pastor who open the doors of Saint Louis Catholic Church.
The first English retreat was held on September 30, 2000, since then the English
movement has helped hundreds find recovery and salvation through Christ. Nueva
Vida, a Christ centered Catholic movement, believes that Christ heals addiction and
restores families. Co-dependents, (those who love the person addicted) are
encouraged to attend the meetings with the person addicted, there both find
answers about the disease and share experiences, resources and find support.
Nueva Vida English welcomes all who suffer from the disease of any addiction and
Co-dependency, There is nothing shameful about having the disease, the only
shameful thing is doing nothing about it.
