I feel stressed this week of thanksgiving, especially with work. But I thank God that I am sober today.

What time or day would be good to meet?

As we enter the holiday season, as an addict I concern myself with company parties, family dinners and those who do not understand my desire to stay sober. Today I will ask Father God to strenghten me in faith and in body so that the holidays will stay as HOLY DAYS as they were intended.

If I need be at gatherings that many involve alcohol, I will excuse myself as soon as possible to avoid temtation.

I am prayfully choosing this time to make them Holy Days. I want to live in reality - not in wishful thinking. I choose to live according to the Lord's will for my life. Lord, I place myself at the foot of your cross. I want to keep my eyes fixed on you. So many times in my life I made a different choice - but this time I have surrender myself completely to You. Thank you Lord for creating me for life - not death. Please bless me with your grace this Advent Season.
